Suffragette City 100
The most comprehensive American Women's Suffrage timeline on the internet
#SuffragetteCity100
History can often seem like a bunch of random names and big events floating in the past. The SuffragetteCity100 timeline was created to show how the passage of the 19th Amendment in America was the result of many events building upon each other and that the work was done by more than just a few big names.
The timeline entries can be read as individual items or as a complete story. For a fast overview, click on the "History in a Hurry" button. This is an easy to understand framework on which to hang the individual entries. Each timeline entry goes into more details and lists all sources. The Women's Spotlight Gallery contains lesser-known women whose contributions in the fight for gender and racial equality compliment the theme or chronology of corresponding numbered timeline entry.
